Tropical Storm "DINDO" PAGASA Weather Update - June 29,2012
At 4:00 a.m. today, the center of Tropical Storm "DINDO" was estimated based on satellite and surface data at 215 km Northwest Laoag City (18.7°N, 118.3°E) with maximum sustained winds of 75 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 90 kph. It is forecast to move west northwest at 19 kph. Southwest Monsoon affecting Luzon and Western Visayas.
Luzon will experience occasional rains becoming frequent over the western section which may trigger flashfloods and landslides. Western Visayas will have mostly cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms. The rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.
Moderate to strong winds blowing from the Southwest to South will prevail over Luzon and the coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to rough. Elsewhere winds wind will be light to moderate coming from the southwest with slight to moderate seas.
