Classes Suspended on August 2, 2012 (Thursday)
Local government units (LGUs) and schools in some parts of the country still suspend classes due to the effects brought by typhoon "Gener." Some areas in Navotas and Valenzuela are still submerged in flood.
(PAGASA) tracks that as of 4 p.m. on Wednesday, the typhoon was located 380 km north northeast of Basco, Batanes with maximum sustained winds of 130 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 160 kph.
Public Storm Warning Signal No. 2 is still raised in Batanes Group of Islands, Calayan Group of Islands, and Babuyan Group of Islands, while the rest of Cagayan and Apayao are placed under Signal No. 2.
