‘Pilipinas For the Win’ (FTW) will Replace ‘Wowowee’

The popular noontime show Wowowee will go off the air and will be replaced by "Pilipinas For The Win" starting this Saturday, July 31. Kris Aquino and Robin Padilla will be the main hosts of the show. They will be joined by Pokwang, Valerie Concepcion, Mariel Rodriguez.



OFFICIAL STATEMENT ON NEW NOONTIME SHOW

On Saturday (July 31), ABS-CBN is launching a new noontime show called Pilipinas For The Win (FTW). The new show will be hosted by Robin Padilla, Mariel Rodriguez, Valerie Concepcion, Pokwang, and Kris Aquino. It is a game and variety show that will surely bring joy, energy and hope to Filipinos all over the world.

Pilipinas For The Win will replace Wowowee. Willie Revillame, through his manager, was already informed about this new development. He was also notified about the new program being planned for him and this will be announced in due time.

Pilipinas For The Win will be managed by director Johnny Manahan, creative director Bobot Mortiz, business unit head Jay Montelibano, and executive producers Phoebe Anievas and Rancy Recato. It will be aired after Showtime.

Kanto Boys on Wowowee

After action star Robin Padilla, it's ABS-CBN's Kanto Boys turn to host the noontime show 'Wowowee.'



Though it was earlier reported that Cesar Montano will replace Robin, but this week it's Luis Manzano, Billy Crawford and John Lloyd Cruz will host the noontime show.

ASF Dancers Luningning, Mariposa and Milagring resigns from Wowowee

ASF Dancers Luningning (Lea Carla Santos), Mariposa (Rovielyn Cabigquez), and Milagring (Annaliza Baldonado) resigns from Wowowee last February 26.




In an interview with PEP, here’s what they had to say:

Milagring: “Siyempre po, career move para mag-grow. Siyempre kailangan din po naming kumita ng mas malaki.”

Luningning: “Kailangang mag-explore din kami ng iba. ‘Yan, nagkakaedad na kami. Ilang taon na kami…kailangan din naming makaipon para sa pangangailangan sa pamilya.”

Mariposa: “Ganoon din, gusto rin naming mag-move on at mag-grow. Hindi naman habambuhay nandun kami at sumasayaw, di ba?”

“Hindi naman habang panahon, nandiyan lang kami. May mga bagong dumarating. Sabi nga nila, tumatanda ka na, kailangan mong mag-grow.” Mariposa added.

"Melason" on WOWOWEE (Video)

"Melason" were on the afternoon show Wowowee yesterday. Melai and Jason again announced their love to each other in front of millions of viewers.

Jason: “Noong unang nakilala ko siya may naramdaman na talaga ako. Alam ko siya na ang magpapasaya ng buong buhay ko. Isay, sinasabi ko sa iyo, sa buong mundo na talagang… totoo ang pag-ibig ko sa iyo.”

Melai: “Totoo naman talaga ang pag-ibig ko sa iyo… alam na natin sa isa’t isa yan, huwag ka nang maingay... Mahal kita.”
